Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This cookie policy explains how Eightfold Digital uses cookies and similar technologies on eightfolddigital.co.uk, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They help the website work properly, keep it secure, remember your preferences, and help us understand how the site is being used.

Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by services we use, such as Google or Cloudflare (third-party cookies).

How we use cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. We only use essential cookies by default. Analytics cookies are only used if you choose to accept them through our cookie banner, and we don’t use any advertising or marketing cookies.

Essential cookies

These cookies are needed for the website to work and stay secure, so they can’t be switched off. They don’t collect information for marketing purposes.

  • cmplz_ cookies (for example cmplz_banner-status, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id and cmplz_functional) – Set by our cookie banner (Complianz) to remember your cookie choices, so we don’t ask you every time you visit. Kept for up to 12 months.
  • __cf_bm – Set by Cloudflare to tell the difference between real visitors and automated bots, helping protect the website from attacks and spam. Kept for 30 minutes.
  • cf_clearance – Set by Cloudflare if you complete a security check, so you don’t have to complete it again. Kept for up to 12 months.
  • wordpress_ and wordpress_logged_in_ cookies – Only set if you log in to the website (in practice, only the site administrator). They keep you securely logged in. Deleted when you close your browser, or after up to 14 days if “Remember me” is ticked.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

These cookies help us understand how people find and use the website, for example which pages are most popular and how long people stay. This helps us improve the site. The information is collected in a way that does not directly identify you.

  • _ga – Set by Google Analytics to tell visitors apart. Kept for up to 2 years.
  • _ga_[ID] – Set by Google Analytics to keep track of your session. Kept for up to 2 years.

We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept statistics cookies through our cookie banner. Google Analytics data is automatically deleted after 14 months. You can read more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Managing your cookie choices

When you first visit the website, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of every page, or below:

You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies or delete those already stored. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from working properly. To learn more, visit your browser’s help pages or aboutcookies.org.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy if we add new tools or the cookies we use change. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
